IVF Zurich: Success rates 2007
The IVF Zurich group of reproductive specialists
(Dr Yonat Floersheim, Dr Helen Fontana, Dr Estilla Maurer und Dr Michael Singer)
has mandated the internationally renowned biologist Dr. Martin Wilding from the group of IVF pioneer
Professor Brian Dale with the laboratory work in the common lab. Personally, I have been enjoying a trustful, quality-oriented and friendship-based cooperation with Prof. Dale and Dr. Wilding since 1999.
Our medical group's principle is to cooperate only with academically qualified partners (biologists for the laboratory,
anaesthesia doctors for the ultra-short anaesthesia during egg collection). This quality-oriented approach is not shared by all competitors.ist.

TRUST THROUGH COMPETENCE |
Despite heavy workload, our office could even improve our 2006 success rates according to the national Swiss IVF registry:
IVF ZURICH Dr. Singer / 2007 |
Number of transfers |
Pregnancies |
Success rate in % |
Mean age |
"Fresh" cycles |
110 |
43 |
39.1% |
36.0 |
Cycles with thawed pre-embryos |
64 |
16 |
25.0% |
36.6 |
These figures compare favorably with national average (2006 figures of the national Swiss IVF registry FIVNAT-CH):
TOTAL SWITZERLAND FIVNAT-CH / 2006 |
Success rate in % |
"Fresh" cycles |
27.9% |
Cycles with thawed pre-embryos |
19.5% |
This means our mean success rate of 39.1% is clearly above Swiss average of 27.9% (previous year), even despite a further
increased mean age of 36 years. It is the national trend that more and more elder couples envisage an IVF treatment, the increasing age
being a key element in the ever increasing demand for fertility treatments.
