Partial removal of the uterusDescription: The partial removal of the uterus (supracervical hysterectomy) is a minimally invasive procedure which removes only the body of the uterus, while the cervix stays in place. This approach minimizes the surface of the internal wound and avoids opening the vagina, which in turn results in a faster healing process. The patient can leave the hospital after two to three days and will return to work after 10-14 days.
